Some sessions leave a permanent mark on your heart—and getting to capture three of them consecutively with Jen, Brian, and their beautiful crew has been nothing short of magical. From the quiet anticipation of a glowing maternity session, to the soft, sacred stillness of their Fresh 48, to the cozy cuddles of their in-home newborn shoot—each milestone told its own part of this beautiful story. And through it all, one thing was constant: love that practically poured through every passing moment.
I’ll never forget that moment in the hospital room. The world outside felt like it had stopped spinning as Jen and I sat in the calm, watching baby J sleep peacefully less than 24 hours after entering the world. Jen swaddled him like a pro—smothering him with gentle kisses as if he’d always been there. And then the moment we were waiting for arrived.
The door creaked open, and in peeked two curious little faces.
Big sisters entered cautiously, their usual bubbly energy momentarily replaced by wonder and wide eyes. They weren’t quite sure what to do with the tiny human waiting to meet them—but it didn’t take long. A little encouragement, a few giggles, extra cuddles from mom and dad, and suddenly they were smitten. Tiny fingers wrapped around his hand. Kisses were shared. The requests to hold him rolled in. It was pure magic.
Fast forward to the newborn session, and the transformation was incredible. Baby J was showered in love—held tight, kissed often, and absolutely adored. His sisters, once tentative and shy, were now little pros in the big sibling department. Their connection was already growing stronger by the day, and their sweet personalities absolutely shined. And it was the perfect depiction of this sweet bunch. They are so full of love and light—always bringing joy into every room they walk into. Their gentle patience, sweet spirits, and the way they care for one another is just the most beautiful reflection of who they are not only with each other but everyone they know. They make building a life rooted in love, faith, and family look like the most natural thing in the world.
Capturing these three milestones was one of the biggest joys of my season last year. From toddler sass and big belly laughs, to that quiet awe of new beginnings, to the unfiltered affection that defines a growing family—it’s all there. Watching this crew bloom with every new chapter is a beautiful reminder of what a gift it is to freeze time, even for just a moment. Because these moments—those first glances, tiny yawns, squishy cheeks, and proud sibling hugs—don’t last forever. But they’re the ones we want to hold onto the most.
Jen and Brian, thank you for inviting me into your lives again and again. Your warmth, your laughter, and your love for one another radiates through every photo, and I’m just so grateful to have played a small part in documenting it all.
