“She said yes!”

Heads turned.

People paused mid-walk along the lakefront, smiles spreading across their faces as a small crowd gathered around the moment unfolding in front of them. A man down on one knee. A girl covering her mouth in shock. And then, she said yes.

And right next to them?

Solteria and Josh… also watching it all unfold. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t their proposal. But honestly? It might have been even better. Because for a moment, it felt like we had stepped straight into a rom-com. The kind where you’re just minding your business, having the best day, and suddenly life hands you a front-row seat to someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime moment.

And we soaked it in. Every second of it.

Solteria looked at Josh and giggled, that kind of giggle that comes from imagining something exciting just within reach. They stood there together, watching this couple step into their next chapter, and you could almost see the wheels turning. The daydreaming. The “what if that were us?” energy lingering in the air.

And what made it even more special is that for most of our time together, that’s exactly what we had been talking about. Their future.

As we wandered around Museum Campus with the skyline behind us and the lake stretching endlessly beside us, Solteria and Josh shared everything. The fun moments, the challenges, the dreams they’re building side by side. Where they want to live. Who they want to become. What life will look like once school is behind them.

And let me tell you, it was beautiful. Not in a grand, over-the-top way. But in a steady, grounded, this is my person kind of way.

They support each other so effortlessly. They listen. They laugh. They dream together. And you can tell they genuinely love not just who the other person is, but who they are becoming too. So when that proposal happened right in front of us, it almost felt like the universe was giving them a little nudge.

Like… so, what do we think? Ready when you are.

And Solteria? She wasted no time. She immediately turned to Josh and started describing exactly how she envisions her own proposal one day. And if I remember correctly, she made one very important thing clear. She does not want it to be super public. Not with all those people watching. Josh just smiled, nodding along, quietly taking mental notes like he had just been handed the most important assignment of his life.

Again… perfect together.

They’re playful. Comfortable. Fully themselves around each other. The kind of couple that can turn an ordinary evening into something memorable just by being together. And honestly, that’s what made this session so special. Yes, the unexpected proposal was incredible to witness. But what mattered even more was the reminder woven into it.

To dream about your future. To talk about your goals. To build something meaningful together. But also…

To be here. To laugh in the middle of a random weekday. To walk along the lake. To soak in moments you didn’t plan for. Because one day, you’ll look back and realize those were the moments that mattered most. Time moves quickly. And before you know it, you’ve spent years with your best friend wondering where it all went. So don’t rush it. Don’t skip ahead. Enjoy every chapter as it comes.

Solteria and Josh, thank you for letting me spend the evening with you, for trusting me to capture your story, and for reminding me how beautiful it is to simply enjoy the moment you’re in.

And hey… when the real proposal happens, I’ll be waiting. 🤍
